Uma Rembulan is The House of the Moon – a luxury five bedroom estate just minutes from central Ubud. Designed to allow families or a group of friends to have ample space to gather or to be blissfully alone, Uma Rembulan is spread out over three beautiful free standing structures all placed beside a 15 meter pool.
Enjoy easy access to Ubud with its world class restaurants, fantastic shopping, and cultural activities. Enjoy a yoga class, take the Campuhan hike, watch a traditional Balinese dance, go to a batik or jewelry making class, or let us help you arrange an adventure like river rafting, a temple tour, or an electric bike trip through villages and rice fields.
But just as easily you can return quickly to your private sanctuary tucked away from the traffic and bustle of the world outside. The sun sets each night over our lush jungle view, bathing the pool and grounds in a gorgeous honeyed glow – it's the perfect space to slow down and discover the best of Bali.
Breakfast is included with all bookings, and with notice our full staff can prepare a delicious meal for you later in the day for an additional charge. We have trained massage therapists on call for a spa experience at the villa, and can also arrange private yoga instruction on site. We have many beautiful decks and lawns to enjoy and deepen your practice. Our staff can also help arrange a private car and driver to transport you to your Bali adventures. Our Main Joglo (a joglo is a vintage restored home from Java with an intricate carved wooden ceiling) welcomes you with its soaring ceiling. A fully equipped modern kitchen awaits with dining for 12 along a solid reclaimed teak dining table. Sit at the breakfast bar and enjoy coffee in the morning, or lounge in one of the many seating areas and take in the view of the property with drink in hand at golden hour.
Our first en suite bedroom is nestled in this first structure with a king bed that can also be converted into two twins upon request.
Stepping down from the deep entertaining porch of the Main Joglo one enters the pool level of the property. Here our 15 meter pool beckons and invites lounging poolside or on the large sun shelf, perfect for cooling off after a hot afternoon. Next to the pool is our Long House. At center is our open living room for comfortable gatherings on the sectional sofa with accompanying wet bar and bath. On either side are two of our largest en suite bedrooms with large bathrooms and desk areas. Ascend the stairs to enjoy our Owl Room, what we lovingly call our upstairs entertaining area with comfy seating, cool AC, TV and games. The Owl Room can also be converted into a fifth bedroom with sleeping space for 3 single beds. Great for kids and teens or friends bunking in together.
Moving down past the pool one comes finally to our Primary Joglo which is a stand-alone suite with a glorious vintage carved ceiling, lots of space to spread out, and a stunning bathroom with huge river stone soaking tub and shower.
Throughout the property there are lush gardens, grass for kids to play upon, and many thoughtfully designed areas to lounge with a book, have a snack, or chat with loved ones.
After thirty years of traveling within Bali and experiencing dozens of villas, hotels, and rentals, we took our favorite elements of each stay and made our dream house become a reality to share with you all.
